Celebrate the Thunderbitch exhibit opening with live music by Barbara Ireland + Stone Gossard, Visqueen, plus an appearance by The Piston Packin' Mamas, Seattle's all-girl car and motorcycle club.
Stay Late!: Immediately following exhibit opening Damien Jurado will perform a free, all ages show in the gallery.

Women in Design, A panel discussion: August 23, 7-9pm
Northwest design professionals offer insights on how they got where they are today, their challenges and successes. This unique event offers up specific resources for creative women at all points in their career. The panel, moderated by Methodologie Principal Shannyn Roberts, reflects a wide range of professional experience. Panelists include Wendy Chisholm, Senior Strategist at Microsoft, Chelsea Conboy, designer for Bumbershoot 2010, Robynne Raye, Modern Dog co-founder and Cornish Design Instructor, and Åsa Sandlund, Nordstrom Brand Creative Director.
Event includes a special viewing of the exhibit "Thunderbitch: Women Designers in Northwest Rock 1966-2010", portfolio and presentation book sale by OFFICE PDX and complimentary New Deal Vodka cocktails. Event is free. Must be 21+ for cocktails. Space is limited to 75.
